Officers generally serve a term of one year, beginning on January 1.

In September, the Nominating Committee will produce a slate of nominees for each open position. Additional nominees may be added to the slate of candidates prior to October 15, subject to a nomination and second from the membership.
Electronic ballots will be distributed to each member of the section by November 1. Members requesting a paper ballot may do so.
The Nominating Committee shall tabulate ballots no later than November 15.
The Section Chair will announce the results as soon as possible after the election. The results will be certified by the ACS no later than December 1.
